Innovate to Endure: How Organizational Innovation Enables Adaptation in Family-Owned Firms

Resumen

Las organizaciones contemporáneas enfrentan entornos caracterizados por cambios tecnológicos acelerados, creciente competencia y transformaciones constantes en los mercados, lo que exige fortalecer su capacidad de adaptación estratégica. En este contexto, el objetivo del presente estudio es analizar el papel de la innovación organizacional como mecanismo habilitador del desarrollo de capacidades dinámicas en empresas familiares. Para ello se realizó una revisión integradora de literatura científica basada en artículos indexados en la base de datos Scopus, publicados entre 2021 y 2025, mediante un proceso sistemático de búsqueda, filtrado y análisis conceptual. A partir de un corpus final de 38 artículos científicos, se identificaron cuatro dimensiones organizacionales recurrentes en la literatura estructura organizacional, liderazgo, aprendizaje organizacional y relaciones externas que actúan como microfundamentos de las capacidades dinámicas. Con base en estos hallazgos, se propone un modelo conceptual que explica cómo la innovación organizacional fortalece los procesos de sensing, seizing y transforming, facilitando la adaptación estratégica y la generación de ventajas competitivas sostenibles. Los resultados contribuyen a integrar las perspectivas de innovación organizacional, capacidades dinámicas y empresa familiar, ofreciendo un marco analítico que amplía la comprensión de los mecanismos organizacionales que sustentan la competitividad en entornos dinámicos.
